He started his accounting career as a consultant for Accountemps, A Robert Half Company right after graduation in February of 2008. Blaine was placed with Associated Wholesalers Inc. (AWI) on a temporary to hire contract and began working in the purchasing department reviewing purchase orders and making data entries. He was then transferred to Nell's Retail Accounting department to work as an accounting assistant, reviewing cash sheets, posting accounts receivable payments to the general ledger, reconciling monthly invoices to open invoice reports, reviewing and correcting invoice coding, and reviewing account reconciliations.

While on temporary assignment, he was offered a permanent job and hired full time by AWI after four weeks and promoted from an Accounting Assistant to an Internal Auditor.
The Internal Auditing position was fairly new and involved performing audits for their chain of Nell's Shurfine stores, a wholly owned subsidiary of AWI. Blaine took on the new position and built the internal auditing program from the ground up. He worked there until July of 2010 and went to work for Appleone Employment Services for a year doing consulting work until December of 2011.

On June 1, 2011 Blaine and his brother founded Thomas Brothers Accounting & Bookkeeping Services Inc. and opened up there first office headquarters in Lebanon, Pennsylvania near the Harrisburg Capital region and the famous Hershey Park.
